Early Life: Donna was born April 10, 1932, to Daniel and Margaret Mechling in Thayne, Wyoming. She had five brothers and two sisters.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: She married Allen E. Clark; they had three children and later divorced. She then married John F. Marshall with whom she had two more children and also gained two stepchildren. Donna lived in Payson for many years and she could more than likely be found at the Payson Downs Racetrack cleaning the stalls and feeding their prized racehorses. She was a licensed owner at many tracks including her favorite, Wyoming Downs. You could bet you would find her jumping up and down cheering her horses on in the grandstand. She was a member of the Nebo Cutter Association and Payson Racing Association; she had some big wins in both flat track racing and chariot racing. She was a big fan of the Utah Jazz and never missed a televised game. She even named one of her racehorses “Stockton to Malone”. Donna was known for having a sassy attitude but a big heart to go along with it. "Grandma Whitehair" was deeply loved by her family and just about anyone she ever came in contact with. Donna Marie Mechling Marshall passed away August 8, 2017. She was 85.
