TIMMONSVILLE –
Oct. 4- (Special)-Funeral services for George Ray White. 49, of Timmonsville, who died Wednesday night at a Florence hospital after several weeks of illness, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday from the Timmonsville Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill Bagnall, assisted by the Rev. Dean C. Clyde. Interment will be in Byrd Cemetery.

Mr. White, a farmer of the Peniel community, was a member of the Timmonsville Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 26 of Timmonsville and a trustee of the School District 4 of Florence.

Surviving including his widow, the former Nancy Carter; one son, George Ray, and one daughter, Phyllis Ann both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George B. White of Timmonsville; one brother, A.E. White of Timmonsville; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Funk of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mrs. Paul White of Florence, and Mrs. Dell Watford of Lamar and a number of nieces and nephews.
