Mrs. Loftin was a loving mother and "Grammy". She enjoyed cooking and providing a wonderful home for her family.
Mrs. Loftin is survived by her daughters: Teresa Holt and husband Paul of Wilmington and Jacquelyn Williams of Brunswick County; grandchildren: Becky Brown and husband Adam and Paul "Tater" Holt and wife Charley; great-grandchildren: Tori Holt, Collin Holt, Lane Holt and Michael Black and her sister Beulah Arthur, all of Wilmington.
Mrs. Loftin was a resident at Davis Health Care for four and a half years. The family sends a big thank you to all who took part in her care through the years. Their heartfelt thanks to the "Angels" of Haven House who gave such loving care to their "Evie". They have great appreciation for those from the other houses that came to visit her, especially during her last month of life. She loved all the hugs and kisses and special entertainment. The family will never forget Erin and Jennifer from Hospice, you gave them as much comfort as you gave Evelyn.
They have peace in knowing that when their loved one reached the "Pearly Gates" she regained the use of her legs, and sight in her eyes, and was made whole again with her new heavenly body.
The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Coble Ward Smith Funeral Home.
A family gathering for her honor will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens at a later date and will be officiated by Rev. Greg Hales and Preacher Dede Pickles.
