DU QUOIN - Sarah E. Eisenhauer, 88, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Fair View Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Sarah was a homemaker, and worked as a beautician and at the Pinckneyville Garment Factory.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born May 3, 1918, in Johnston City, the daughter of Selkirk and Christenia (Beal) Jent.
She was first married to Elza "Tucker" Rea and he preceded her in death. She then married Joseph E. Eisenhauer on Sept. 15, 1973, in Du Quoin, and he preceded her in death June 19, 1994.
She is survived by nieces, Janet Murray of Du Quoin, Bonnie Wilkison of St. Charles and Yalonda Sawyer of New York; nephews, Nick Jent of Dallas, Texas, Frank Felts of Garden City, Mich., Jim Felts of Canton, Mich., and Robert Jent; brother-in-law, Pete Eisenhauer of Pinckneyville; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Eisenhauer and Elizabeth Hagene, both of Pinckneyville; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; three sisters; and five brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with Monsignor Harry Jerome officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Marshall Browning Hospital Tree of Life, Sacred Heart Church or to the donors favorite charity, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
