A memorial service for Alice "Alli" Malone, age 76 of Lindale, is scheduled for 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Jerry Alexander officiating. Mrs. Malone died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at a Tyler hospital. She was born in Dallas on July 23, 1941 to the late John Robert and Mattie Adeline (Dykes) Hughes. Mrs. Malone was one of the founding directors and worked as a social worker for the East Texas Crisis Center organization and as a case worker for CPS for the State of Texas in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Hughes, and sister, Sylvia Bryant. She is survived by her husband, Cody Malone of Lindale; 2 daughters, Melinda Kerner and husband, Barry of Lindale; Jennifer Benner and husband, Karl of Tyler; brother, Pat and wife, Peggy Hughes of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Kristen and Pete Willett of Tyler; Karlie Kerner of Tyler; Cheyenne, Sierra and Savanna Benner of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association of Texas, alstexas.org.
