PORTER, Dale Age 88 of Middletown went to be with the Lord and our son, Steve, in Heaven Friday, August 4, 2017 at our residence surrounded by our family. He was born June 9, 1929 in Middletown, the son of William Jordan Porter and Clarice (Lawson) Porter. Dale served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from AK Steel in 1985 after 36 years of service. Dale was active at Breiel Boulevard First Church of God where he sang in the choir for 55 years in all the church holidays and musicals, delivered baskets of food to the community, and volunteered during the time of Shalom. After Dale and Joyce retired, they toured all 48 states, the British Isles, and Mexico in their motor home. Dale and Joyce joined the "Young of Heart" performance team of cloggers for ten years going all over the state of Florida performing for senior citizens, nursing home audiences, and at the Florida State fair in Tampa.
