Graveside service will be at 11 am today at Crestwood Cemetery for Carl Benson Wright Sr, 81, Gadsden, who died Sunday, May 25, 1997. The Rev Bill French will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr Wright was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. He served in the US Army and Navy during World War II and was a member of the V F W Post No 8600.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Jake Wright and Benson Wright, bot of Gadsden; grandchildren, Suzy O'Hara, Dana Teague, Judy Winters, Brent Wright, Lawanda (Bridget) Caldwell and Carla Wright, and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
