On June 2, 2016 Margaret Catherine (Post) Kinder took God's hand and went home to heaven. Born in 1921 in St. Wendolin, Ohio, she was the second of Frank and Mary Post's eleven children. Margaret has only four of her sisters remaining as well as several nephews and including hundreds of cousins. To this number Margaret and her husband George added four children of their own. God took two to Heaven quickly but left two to carry on and build the family. Daughter Linda (Jim) Irish and son John (Melissa) Kinder gave Margaret her 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was also stepmother to George (Dick) Kinder and Charles (Chick) Kinder which added 15 grandchildren as well as 22 great-grandchildren with 4 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was a people person which reflected in her work at Western Union Telegraph Company for 29 years, "Hostess with the Mostest" at the Golden Harvest Restaurant, and a notifier of Estate Sales for Dora Krieger & Associates for several years. Margaret made several friends at the Heartland Nursing Home in Grand Rapids where she resided for the past three and a half years. Over the course of 94 plus years of life, through good times and bad she clung to her faith in God her belief that someday he would take her home. She ever told him what color to paint her room. She is being cremated and her ashes placed next to her husband George in the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing. She requested no tears and no service.
