Rosebud - Pearl Behne Whatley, 93, or Temple and formerly of Waco died Thursday in a Temple nursing home.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with the Rev. Fred Kandeler officiating.

She was born in Westphalia and grew up in Rosebud, where she worked as a nurse for serveral Rosebud doctors. She worked at Providence Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital in Waco before her retirement in 1975, at which time she moved to Temple. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Temple. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW No. 2018, and a past member of Rebekah Lodge No. 486 of Waco. She married Julian Boney, and after his death she married Sterling Whatley.

Hoelscher Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
