Robertson, Nolan "Ralph" Reed
67 of Congress, Az, passed away on July 28, 2017, succumbing to brain cancer. Nolan was born to Nolan and Ellen Robertson on September 13, 1949 in San Francisco, CA. He grew up as the eldest of 5 children attending Phoenix Union High School. In 1974, he married Cynthia Broadnax and the couple had 3 children. They initially lived in East Palo Alto, CA where Nolan worked at Lockheed Martin as a data processor. In 1977 they moved to Arizona where he worked at several companies in various industries. He returned to school and in 1997 graduated with his Bachelors degree from DeVry University. After grad- uating, he worked in the IT department at the Arizona Republic. In 2004, Nolan and Cynthia divorced and in 2007, he remarried Arlena Birdwell. In 2010, he retired from his job at the Arizona Republic and he and Arlena moved to Ridgecrest, CA. They returned to Arizona in 2013 where he worked as a driver at The Meadows treatment center. Nolan had always been skillful when it came to construction and electrical work. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed taking on various projects around the house as well as listening to his HAM radio. Ralph is survived by his wife Arlena; his children Akua, Manu and Camille Robertson; his siblings Denise and Emile Robertson, Pierre and Feora Rhinehart; his step-father Bill Rhinehart; his step-children April, Christy and Ricky Crivello; and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at 1:00 pm. The address is 187 N Adams Street, Wickenburg, AZ 85390. It was Ralph's wish to have his body cremated.
