Belonged to the Holy Name Society and to Branch number 11 of the Western Catholic Union.

Emil Frank Weichlein passed away aged 81 at his Quincy, Illinois residence. His first wife, Mrs. Eda Weichlein, predeceased him, 4 February 1933. As well, one brother and four sisters predeceased Mr. Weichlein.

Surviving to mourn were: his second wife, Mrs. Gertrude Weichlein; daughters Mrs. Loretta Miller and Mrs. Albert Dickhoener; sons Elmer Weichlein and Henry Weichlein; and eight grandchildren.
