STRUTHERS, Lorne Passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 93rd year. He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Eva (2016). Beloved father of Larry (Diana) and Allan (Denise) and proud grandpa to grandchildren Jennifer (Regis) Dugal, Susie Hegan and Jonathan Struthers, and great-grandchildren Dylan, Aline, Jakob, Brielle, Austin and Cotter. He will also be missed by his siblings; Shirley (Cameron), David (Maridel), Harold (Lorna), Charles (Marlene), Ruth (Lawrence), and Ann (Ken), sister-in-law Irma, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by brothers Ross, Stan (Beth), Robert (Lorene) and Donald. Lorne owned and worked at the family business, StruthersHeating/Struthers Contracting for over 50 years. Thank you to the staff at C.C.A.C. for their help and support, especially Luba for her compassionate care. Family will receive guests at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Thursday, August 3rd for Visitation from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial to take place at Parklawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association

STRUTHERS, Lorne Allan
Lorne was born in Galt, Ontario on March 19, 1925, to William Gilchrist and Edith
Evelyn (Hamilton) Struthers. He had nine siblings: Ross, Robert, Stanley, Shirlie,
Harold, Charles, Ruth, David and Donald. Lorne attended school in Preston and
worked as an electrician. In 1943, he enlisted in the Army (Regular Force) and
received his training at Barriefield Camp in Kingston. He became a dispatch rider
with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps and posted in Nova Scotia. In July 1944,
he was posted to various bases in England. He was discharged in June 1945. Lorne
married Eva Otilia Lotspeich and they raised two sons, Larry and Allan. He owned
and worked at the family business, Struthers Heating/Struthers Contracting for
over fifty years. Lorne passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on July
31, 2017, in his 93rd year. He has been laid to rest in Parklawn Cemetery in
Cambridge, Ontario.
