Jennie Connors made headlines in newspapers in 1890, when her ex-lover, New York City 4th Ward tattooer, Edwin Thomas, attempted to murder her. He shot her just above the heart, but was not successful in killing her. She did die several years later, but it's not clear if her death was related to the shooting injuries.

Jennie Connor's sister, Catherine Connors McCaffrey, was a tattooed lady at Worth's Dime Museum. It's unknown when she was tattooed or who did the tattooing. Jennie had some tattoo work done by Edwin Thomas.
