Teckla Jane Bisek was born October 1, 1869, a daughter of Joe and Mary Bisek, on the farm now owned by her brother, Adolph Bisek. She lived there until the age of 25 years when she was united in marriage to John Brosh in 1895 at the Reno Catholic Church. For the remaining 35 years she resided at the home where she passed away.
To this union ten children were born: Mrs. Louie Chan (Mary); Mrs. John Bosek (Josie); Adolph; Joe; John; Mike; Freddie; Florence and Frances. One son, Frank, preceded her in death on November 7, 1918 at Camp Forest, Georgia. She left to mourn eleven grandchildren: Phillip, Stanley and Wesley Brosh, Johnnie, Floyd and Dennis Bosek, Bernard, Vernon, Mary Jane, Florence Ann and Rose Marie Chan. She also leaves to mourn the following brothers and sisters: Peter Bisek, Charlie Bisek and Mrs. Joe Benson of New Effington, S. Dak.; Adolph bisek of Reno and Mrs. Tom Hanzlik of Harlowton, Mont. She was buried from the Reno Catholic church, Father Varley officiating, and was laid to rest beside her son, Frank.
The funeral was held February 15. The pallbearers were six of her nephews, Frank, wencil, Bennie, Henry, Andrew and Edward Bisek.
Mrs. Brosh was well-known and respected far and wide. She was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her husband and children. Mrs. Brosh was a Gold Star mother of the Lowry American Legion Auxiliary and an active member of her church.
