She was preceded in death by her parents D.G. and Pauline Hobbs of Pharr, TX and husband Don Parker.
She graduated from Texas State Teachers college in San Marcos, TX and later earned her Master’s Degree and Administrator’s Certificate. She both taught and was a consultant for CCISD until her retirement. She was active in her profession and the community, researching and writing the Jewish Holocaust curriculum for CCISD, was past president of the Corpus Christi Reading Association, member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Library Board.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Seaside Memorial Park.
