Paul Edward Williams, Sr., 69, of Stanfield, passed away early Friday evening July 28, 2017 with his family by his side.

Mr. Williams was born on December 12, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Cecil Dison and Agnes Marie (Duncan) Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother Wayne Williams in 2006.

Mr. Williams served his country honorably in the United States Navy before he received his honorable discharge in 1972. He was an Insurance Adjustor for State Farm Insurance Co. for many years before he retired. He loved Nascar and was a big Kevin Harwick fan. He was passionate about cars, especially his 1953 Chevy, and hot rod shows.

Services with military honors will be conducted at a later date with Rev. Jim White officiating.

Survivors include his loving fiancée, Janie Yow Smith of Stanfield; a daughter, Kelly A. (Jeffrey) Breese of St. Albans, WV; two sons, Paul E. "PJ" Williams, Jr. and Anthony D. (Carolyn) Williams both of Marmet, WV; three brothers, Larry, Danny and Randy all from Virginia. Other survivors include his loving grandchildren, Nicolas, Molly, Dakota, Mason, Connor, Bennett, Barrett and Caroline. He also will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and his loving side kick, his dog, Cocoa.
