Mrs. Curtis Dead at 79

Mrs. Abbie Curtis, 79, of 506 Keyte St., died early this morning in Pleasant View Hospital, of a stroke. She had been ill the past six months and had suffered three strokes since Sunday.

Funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jennings-Lyons Chapel with the Capt. Albert Rowland officiating. Burial is to be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Curtis was born July 21, 1884, in Ionia County and attended school in Gratiot County. She came here in 1910 after her marriage to William Curtis at Ithaca Feb. 17, 1906. He died in 1956.

She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Golden Agers and was employed for nine years at Redmond Motor Co.

Surviving are: two sons - Lloyd and Walter, both of Owosso; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Olive) Fouts and Mrs. Harry (Gladys) Kellogg, both of rural Owosso; 18 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
