"The death of James L McIntyre, aged 62 years, occurred at 9:50 last evening in the hospital where he had been a patient for some time. Deceased was a resident of Simpson where he had for 25 years been in charge of the [oil] producing property of the Associated Producers company. He was well known in this city and vicinity and had enjoyed the respect and confidence of a host of friends. He was a member of Kinzua lodge, IOOF, of Mt Alton. Surviving are his wife, one son, Guy W McIntyre of Wyoming, and seven daughters, Mrs W E Scott of Simpson, Mrs Byrda Owen of Canton, O, and the Misses Florence, Maud, Mary E, Grace and Rae McIntyre of Simpson. The body was taken to Koch Brothers' undertaking rooms where funeral services will be held at a time to be announced later."
