Justin Garrett Potter, 56, of Tama, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice Home in Hiawatha.
 
Funeral services for Justin will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama.
 
Justin Potter was born on February 4, 1961 in Marshalltown to Ben Jay Potter Sr and Phyllis Arlene Davenport Potter. Justin was united in marriage to Jeanne Sulentic in Florida and they later divorced. He enjoyed doing bead work, fishing and his German Shephard Smoky. Above all else, Justin loved the time he spent with his friends and family.
 
Justin is survived by his son Jerome Greene of Florida. Siblings: Ben Potter Jr of Tama, Gilbert (Sue) Potter of Fort Madison, Zelda (Terry) Cecak of Toledo, Faith Shadden of Grinnell, Ivan (Shelli) Potter of Toledo, Jason (Jennifer) Potter of Tama, Starr (James) Buffalo of Tama and Phyllis (Ryan) Ogden of Newton. He is also survived by his niece Leah Kearney of Springville, special friend Shari Youngbear of Tama and many other nieces and nephews.
 
Justin is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Phyllis and siblings, Ida Johnson, Timothy Joseph Potter, Barry Potter and Debbie Potter.
