Obituary: Gloria Ann Birdwell (1941 – 2016)
Graveside services for Gloria Ann Birdwell, age 74, of Reklaw are scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Emmaus Cemetery in Concord with Pastor Jerry Bennett officiating. Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Birdwell was born December 6, 1941 in Lonestar to Stanley William and Elsie Mae McFarland. She had resided in Reklaw all of her married life.
She went to be with her Lord on October 27, 2016.
Mrs. Birdwell was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Birdwell, daughter, Marie Birdwell, grandson, Troy Wayne Fugitt, her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly Birdwell and Kim Berryhill, Rudy and Robin Birdwell, three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Donny Pannell, Sharon and Paul Turner, and Tammy and Russell Bales, all of Reklaw, two sisters, Dixie Brown of Jacksonville and Dale Alonza of Rusk, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Birdwell, Jeffrey Myers, Donny Pannell, Jordan Hinds, and Robert Keenom. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry and Hershel Bradley.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until service time at the cemetery.
