Funeral services for Preston Birdwell, 88, of Reklaw were held Saturday, April 13, at New Emmaus Cemetery in Concord with Chaplain Gary Sparks officiating.
Mr. Birdwell was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Cushing, Texas, and died April 9 2013, in Tyler.
He worked for Rameys Plant Farm for many years until he became self-employed.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Marie Birdwell; mother Eva Lee McLeroy; father Percy Birdwell; sister Beluah “Boots” McClaran; brother R. L. Birdwell and grandson Troy Wayne Fugitt.
He is survived by his wife, one sister, two sons, three daughters, 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were six in total.
