Paul W. Slader was born on April 10, 1916, the son of Mark and Verna Slader. During World War II, he served with the 94th Infantry in the European Theatre. He worked for the Wilkinson Manufacturing Co. for many years. After his retirement he was a member of the Fort Calhoun Cemetery Association. He died at age 64 on April 10, 1916. Survivors included one sister, Dorothy (Stanley) Ohrt of Blair, Nebraska; one brother, Norman Slader of Omaha; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services were held at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers were Harry Lund, Albert Ohrt, Harold Swanson, Jim Knag, Bill Stratbucker and Fred Hansen.
