Vincent was born in Marshall, MN to Frank and Helene (DeLanghe) Buysse. He attended Saint Joseph School and graduated from Marshall High School in 1943. Vince joined the Navy and later served in the Seabees as a Carpenter’s Mate 2nd class at Peleliu Island during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He returned to Marshall and worked with his father and brothers in the carpentry business and later went on his own as an independent contractor. In 1950 he married the love of life, Ramona DeVos, and they were blessed with ten wonderful children. His faith was very important to him and he was active in the church with Parish Council, Bingo, and teaching CCD to high school students. He enjoyed ice skating and often skated on the Redwood River outside the family home. He was a wonderful skater and shared his talent with his children. Rolle bolle, dancing, cards, reading, and gardening were also hobbies he enjoyed along with many summers at the cabin on Lake Minnewaska. A very kind and generous man, he will be missed by many.

Vince died on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the Avera Morningside Transitions Unit in Marshall.
Survivors include his wife Ramona for 67 years, children Thomas (Cindy) Glenwood, MN, Jo Ann (Maggie) Saint Paul, MN, Paul (LuAnn) Alexandria, MN, Teresa Worklan (Dave) Lake Villa, IL, Michael (Carol) Marshall, MN, Daniel (Bonnie) Redwood Falls, MN , Charles (Sharon), Marshall, MN, Mary (Brian) Alexandria, MN and Philip (Kari) Marshall, MN. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, siblings Valera Blair and James Buysse and many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Patrick, granddaughter Rachael, and siblings Alyce, Julie, Midge, Raymond, Andrew and Marion.
