Lois G. (Amigh) Suydam
Feb. 2, 1934 - July 23, 2017
Lois G. (Amigh) Suydam, 83, Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Ethel (Lee) Amigh.
Surviving are two daughters: Cindy Conner and husband, Robert, and Ethel McConnell; four sons: Jonathan Z. Jeffers and wife, Karen, George E. McConnell and wife, Glenda, Walter R. McConnell and wife, Lorle, and Terry A. “Smoke” McConnell; 18 grandchildren, including a grandson, Shawn, whom she raised; 24 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Wilbur F. Sr. and Sheldon.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie McConnell; a son, Robert Dewey Amigh; and a grandson, Walter McConnell Jr.
Lois was a member of Fourth Street Church of God, Altoona. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing Candy Land with her grandchildren and spending time with her dog, Tilly.
At Lois’s request, there will be no viewing.
Friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will be held immediately after at 6 p.m., Pastor Jon R. Neely officiating.

NOTE: Burial location is not spelled out in her Obit, but both parents and other family members are buried in Spring Hope Cemetery, Martinsburg, Blair Co., Pa. so it would stand to reason she is as well.
