1927-2017

Julia Lorraine McGuyer formally of Casper, Wyo., currently of Stuart, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017, at home with her family by her side following a short battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 28, 1927, to David and Mary (Michaels) Richard in Hardin, Mont.
Anyone who knew Julia knew she loved to bowl (in her younger years); crochet for her family, stocking caps for the newborns, and layettes for the craft fairs; go to casinos; play bingo; play the organ for her own entertainment even though she couldn’t read sheet music; and watch the Game Show Network.
Her chosen career was waitress and she was manager of the banquet room at a Ramada Inn in Casper, Wyo., before retiring.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, one brother David Lee Richard; one sister Esther Blanc; and husbands, Leo Charles Higgins and Russell Stewart McGuyer.
Survivors include her daughter Loretta and husband Jim Gill of Stuart; son Steve and wife Sharon Higgins of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren: Doug Peery of Phoenix, Ariz., Shannon McGinnis and husband Scott of Tucson, Ariz., Shaun Higgins and wife Sarah of Salem, Ore., Scott Higgins and wife Anna of Clinton, Neb., and Shae Nobles and husband Kenny of Tucson, Ariz.; 15 great-grandchildren, Sarah Peery, Dustin Peery, Lara Peery, Katie Peery, Sedona Peery, Saelym Higgins, Seth McGinnis, Brooklyn Higgins, Peyton Higgins, Braxton Higgins, Andrew Higgins, Tatiana Higgins, Marquice Nobles, Kimani Nobles, and Amare Nobles; two sisters Martha Jarred of Littleton, Colo., and Mary Jane Worth of Scottsbluff, two brothers Jake Richard of Scottsbluff, and Fred Donald Richard and wife Carol of Harrisburg; plus several beloved nieces and nephews.
Internment will take place at a later date.
