After 69 years of a life well lived, Van William Hamilton passed away July 22, 2017 in Oklahoma City. He was born April 1, 1948 in Yanush, OK to Joel W. and Edith (Woods) Hamilton. He was a hardworking man who loved to stay busy, from installing flooring at work, to carpentry and fishing in his spare time. He also cherished the time he got to spend with his family. Van was deeply loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Hamilton; daughter, Vanessa and husband, Doug; sons: Jason, Justin and wife Leslie, Brian and wife Kari, and Brandon and wife Ivy; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Frankie; brothers: Earl, Hershel, Fred, and Mark; and 1 special sidekick.

Visitation will be held 1pm-8pm Monday, and 8am-8pm Tuesday. A ceremony to celebrate Van’s life will be held 10am Wednesday, July 26 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
