Charles Behnke Dies at Orland
ORLAND – Charles Behnke, 65, died yesterday at his home at 135 E. Colusa street in Orland.
A native of Glenn County, he was born here on November 15, 1894. He was a veteran of World War I and had remained a bachelor all of his life.
He leaves a brother, Frank Behnke of Willows, and three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Cory of Chester, Mrs. Maude Snow of Alturas and Mrs. Maggie Talken of Chico.
Funeral services have been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the F.D. Sweet & Son funeral chapel at Orland with Pastor E. B. Kluver of the First Lutheran Church at Orland officiating. Burial will be in the Artois cemetery. - Transcribed by M.
