Lydia (Shiple) Perham was married to John Perham on Dec 15, 1664 in Chelmsford. She was the daughter of John and Ane (Ann) Shepley (Shipley, Shiply, Sheple, Sheply), who immigrated from England aboard the Primrose in 1635 with a land grant in Salem/Wenham, MA.

Lydia was born in 1641-1643 in Salem/Wenham, (1643 when calculated from grave inscription) and baptized on Dec. 1, 1656 at about 15 years old.

Her siblings were John Jr. (b. 1637) and Nathaniel (b. 1639).

Conflicting Chelmsford, MA vital records list her death date as June 20 and 21st, but the grave inscription is as follows: "June 26, in her 67th y." Similarly, her husband John Perham/Perrum's death is listed as, Jan. 23, 1720-21, but his grave inscription reads "Jan. 21, a. 88 y."
(Additional photos of their graves are featured at the "Chelmsford Historical Society - Touring the Forefathers Burying Ground" webpage).

First and last names in the Chelmsford Vital records appear variously spelled:
Lideah, Lidia/h, Lydia, Shipley, Shepley, Perum, Perham, etc.

Children (Data transcribed from Chelmsford Vital Records):
Joseph, s. John and Lidiah, 22: 10m: 1669. [Dec. 26. CTR]
Anna, d. Lidia, bp. 13: 5m: 1673

William, s. John and Lidiah, July 16, 1706
Benjamin, s. John and Lidiah, Feb. 23, 1709

However, the births listed after 1692 are without a doubt that of their son John Perham and his wife Lydia Fletcher (m. 1692), who had 7 children per Chelmsford records (source: Webster Historical Society, Webster, NH). These records only confirm 5 total children for John and Lydia Shiple Perham.
