He was born September 21, 1934 in Monarch, Arkansas to Nellie Devereaux and James Threet.
Brother Dan earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Arkansas State University and a graduate degree from Golden Gate Seminary in San Francisco, California. He enjoyed building things, and he loved serving God for many years as a pastor, chaplain, and counselor. He was a man of benevolence and compassion: always ready to visit the sick and give aid to those in need.
He is survived by sons, Stephen Threet (Angela) of Palm Harbor, Florida and Phillip Threet of Alexander, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Tricia Threet of Mena, Arkansas; grandson, James Threet of Mena, Arkansas; and sister, Sue Shay (Bob) of Ada, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, James and Thomas Threet; and sister, Varessa Miller.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Alexander First Baptist Church, 15320 Alexander Rd, Alexander, AR 72002, (501)455-1263. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, Arkansas.
