Came to America from Hjartdal, Telemark, Norway, in 1848. Came to Winneconne Township, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Blacksmith. Age 37. Married. Blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5'5". Enlisted for one year on 10 Feb 1865 at Dale, Wisconsin. Enlistment credited to Milford, Jefferson County. Mustered 21 Feb 1865 at Madison, Wisconsin.
