Tupelo – Mr. Daniel Lee "Dan" Kelly, 79, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at North MS Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1939 in Tupelo, MS, to Lester Howard Kelly and Dolly Collier Kelly. Dan was a graduate of Shannon High School and worked many years as a truck driver for Williams Transfer and Storage Company. Upon retiring he enjoyed working as an auctioneer, gardening, fishing, and tending to his farm animals.
A celebration of life service will beSunday at 4 PM in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Lowell Johnson officiating. Private burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 PM to service time only. Condolences to the family may be e-mailed to [email protected].
Survivors include his two sons, Danny Kelly (Susan) and Matt Kelly (Melissa), all of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Matthew Kelly, Marty Kelly, Jesse Kelly, Melody Byars, and Michael Leslie, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife, Mary Russel Kelly who died July 20, 2017; his son , Randy Kelly, two grandchildren, Hope Kelly and Auction Kelly; five siblings.
