Adelene McClanahan of the Locust Grove Community of Williamstown, was born March 20, 1926 in Grant County, KY, and died Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Grant Center, in Williamstown at the age of 91.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Tinnie Kinman Hicks, a farmer and former assembler for the Gibson Winery, and a member of the Gumlick Baptist Church. On September 6, 1944 she was united in marriage to Joseph Junior McClanahan who died March 14, 1007. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert Allen and James Garol McClanahan
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, July 30, 2017 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-9:00pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to: Bluegrass Hospice Care Navigators, 7388 Turfway Rd. Florence, KY 41042.
