"Herbert Gordon, 71, died Monday evening at 7 o'clock at his home in Brown's Hollow after a two years' illness. Born August 22, 1870, in the Town of Charleston, he was the son of George and Josephine Vanderhosse Gordon. Surviving are his wife, Estella, two sons, Herbert S., Brown's Hollow, and James A., Schenectady; four daughters, Mrs. Foster Siets, Brown's Hollow, Mrs. Channing C. Gordon, Charleston Four Corners, Mrs. Ralph Walsh, Sprakers and Mrs. Frank Rhinehardt, Esperance; one brother, John, Esperance, and 29 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Houghtaling funeral home, Canajoharie, the Rev. Harry Christiana, pastor of the Fultonville Reformed Church, officiating.
