"CANAJOHARIE---James Arthur Gordon, 57, died last evening at his home in Brown's Hollow. Born Jan. 12, 1900, in the Town of Charleston, he was a son of Herbert and Estella Perue Gordon. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine M. Gordon, Brown's Hollow; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce Forgette, Gloversville, Mrs. Patricia St. Louis, Amsterdam and Miss Marie Ann Gordon, Brown's Hollow; four sons, James Arthur Jr., Herbert Bernard and Harold Gordon, all of Brown's Hollow; one brother, Herbert Gordon, Amsterdam; two sisters, Mrs. Channing Gordon and Mrs. Foster Siets, Canajoharie; three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Houghtaling funeral home, Canajoharie, with the Rev. Harold Harter, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating.
