Michelle Ann Fisher, 36, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away on July 15, 2017, of complications from surgery. She is finally free from the pain caused by her lengthy battle with severe chronic pancreatitis.
Michelle was born at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA on March 22,1981. She graduated with honors from Oscar Smith High School and continued on to receive an Associate's Degree from Tidewater Community College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.
Prior to her illness, Michelle loved working in radio broadcasting for Sinclair Communications. She enjoyed spending time with family and was a loving caregiver to her grandmother, uncle, and nephew. She was the sweetest loving daughter and a devoted mother and was exceptionally proud of Devin's accomplishments in Air Force JROTC and Civil Air Patrol.
Michelle is survived by her most loving son Devin, parents Kathy and Chris Fisher, sister and brother-in-law Lori and Shawn Fagan, brother Steven, nephew Jameson, grandfather James B. Fisher and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 1505 Kempsville Rd. Virginia Beach, VA. Saturday, June 22nd at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held Friday, June 21st from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at H.D. Oliver Funeral Home, 2002 Laskin Rd. Virginia Beach, VA. Burial will follow the funeral at the Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery behind H.D. Oliver. Everyone is invited to a celebration of life at the Fisher home following services.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the "Michelle Fisher Memorial Fund" at H. D. Oliver to further Devin's education. Online condolences may be made to the family at hdoliver.com
