"Daniel Cawein, 86 years old, uncle of Dr. C. L. Cawein and the late Madison Cawein, died of senility Monday night at his residence, 1561 Sparks avenue. Mr. Cawein had been in ill health for several years and his death was expected. He was the father of the late Fred Cawein, for many years staff artist of the Louisville Times. Besides Dr. Cawein, Mr. Cawein leaves two other nephews, William and John Cawein. Funeral services will be held at Schoppenhorst's chapel, 1821 West Market street, at 10 o'clock this morning. Burial will be in Cave Hill cemetery."
