Toney Gore son of the late Alice Dora Dillard Gore and Henry Monroe Gore was born in Shannon County, Missouri, on November 1, 1909. He departed this life at his residence in Piedmont, Missouri, on June 7, 2009, having attained the age of 99 years, seven months and six days.

Toney enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading. He was of the Baptist Faith and he was a Teamster having worked for Yellow Freight Company.

Toney was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alice Gore, two sons, Rolley E. and Robert E. Gore, one daughter, Annabelle Forshee, two brothers, Ralph and Elva Gore, three sisters, Mollie Foster, Ollie Skaggs and Lucille Fox, and three grandchildren.

Toney is survived by two sons, Leonard M. Gore of House Springs, Missouri, Douglas H. Gore and wife Debbie of Cedar Hill, Missouri, one daughter, Bessie M. Carter of Hillsboro, Missouri, and one sister Virginia Montgomery of Desloge, Missouri, 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Toney will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
