Betty, as known to many, was educated in Pittsburgh Public Schools until 1951 when her family moved to Columbus, OH. Betty graduated from East High School in June 1954.
Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. Betty had a loving demeanor and her compassion and consideration touched the spirit of every one she met. Never meeting a stranger, all who knew her loved her.
United in marriage on April 21, 1956 to Robert C. Anderson, where into that union, they were blessed with 3 (fabulous) children; Michael Anthony, Linda Marie, and Anna Victoria.
Betty devoted her life to her church, family and friends. She was never without a smiling gesture, a kind word or expression. Betty was an avid reader and traveling was a favorite pastime.
On December 15, 1996 she was joined in holy matrimony with Wilbur R. Harris where she lived in "Heavenly Bliss" until she was called to sit with her Savior.
Preceded in death by; parents Richard and Bessie Hopson, maternal grandmother Catherine Oliver, husband Robert Anderson, sister Julieann Smith and special sister-in-law, Peggy Ann Cross.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Wil; dedicated children, Michael Anderson, Linda Shepherd and Vicki Anderson; and beloved grandson Adrian Shepherd, step-children, Tia (Tony) Roseboro; Phala (Todd) Talbert, Kyle (Jonise) Harris; grandchildren, Shelbi Harris-Roseboro, Alex Roseboro, Isaiah Harris and Trey Talbert, brothers, Richard (Sue-deceased) Hopson, Steven (Sandy Smart) Hopson, sister, Tamera Hopson of Arizona, special aunt and uncle, Alfred and Ardelle Hopson; brother-in-law David Harris, godchildren Jenny and Danny Key, and a host of beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.∼E-legant
