WILLIAM A. SISK

Second Child of the Late W. Y. Sisk, Dies at Home in Henrietta, Mo.

William A. Sisk, brother of B. M. Sisk of this city, died at his home in Henrietta, Mo., last Tuesday morning. He had been in ill health for about a year. His brother here was notified of his serious condition on Monday night, and left at once, arriving in Henrietta about five hours before the end came.
W. A. Sisk was nearly 65 years of age, and was born Nov. 9, 1863, on the W. Y. Sisk farm near High Hill. For many years he had been in business in Henrietta, his son being associated with him. He was at all times prominent in the ciivic and business affairs of his community, being also a leading and faithful member of the Methodist church.
He leaves a wife, one son and two daughters. He was the second of elevn children of his parents, only three of whom survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Henrietta, and burial was in the city cemetery at Richmond.

Prominent Henrietta Merchant Passed Away at Age 64 Funeral at Home Thursday.

William Andrew Sisk, one of Ray county's leading business men, died at his home at Henrietta Tuesday morning. He had been in failing health for some time. He was 64 years old.
Mr. Sisk was born in Montgomery county, Missouri, November 9th, 1863. He was the son of W. Y. Sisk, born in Virginia, and Mary Smith Sisk, a native Missourian.
For the past thirty-seven years he had lived in Henrietta. He was a progressive, successful merchant, and built up his business until it was one of the largest in the county. He was president of the Bank of Henrietta and a partner in the Henrietta Grain Co.
Mr. Sisk was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. He was a member of the Methodist church and a strong church-worker.
Mr. Sisk was married to Miss Lulu Chenault, daughter of A. R. and Ella Chenault, December 24th, 1889. Besides the wife he is survived by three children, W. E. Sisk, Henrietta; Mrs. E. E. Gay, Mrs. Robert Snowden, Richmond; one brother, B. M. Sisk, Montgomery City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. M. E. Goetz, Mrs. C. A. Vallancy, New York City.
The funeral will be held at the Henrietta Methodist church at 2 o'clock Thursday, June 21st, Rev. Wesley G. Davis, pastor ofthe Hundley Methodist church, St. Joseph, will read the service. Burial will be in City cemetery in Richmond.
