Brent A. Chapman, 53, of rural Woolstock passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017.
Funeral services for Brent Chapman will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, with Pastor Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.
Visitation will be held Wednesday beginning at 4:00 PM until services begin at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Brent Alan Chapman was born on May 21, 1964 to Stanley and Karen (Duitscher) Chapman in Clarion, Iowa. Brent grew up around the Clarion area and was highly active in 4-H, showing dairy cattle. He graduated from Clarion High School with the class of 1982.
After High School, Brent helped run the farm with his dad and brother, Clint. Having an adventurous side, Brent responded to a help wanted ad in the newspaper, which jumpstarted his career in International Farm Equipment Exporting. In 1997, he moved to the Ukraine for seven and half years.
Brent was a hard worker who pushed himself to be better. He was known to pull pranks and kept people laughing. You could always find a smile on his face.
He was a kind man who thought of others and spoke highly of his family, which he loved dearly.
Brent is survived by his parents, Stan and Karen Chapman of Woolstock; children, Katie Chapman and her children Ayden and Autumn of Clarion, Jordan Chapman and his son Leo of Cedar Falls, Blake (Taylor) Chapman and their children Easton and Ella of Garner, and Brock Chapman of Fort Dodge; brother Clint (Leslie) of Le Mars and their children Talia, Kayla and Tylon; along with Aunts, Uncles, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John J. and Ruth Chapman and Delmar and Lucille Duitscher and his Aunt Dixie.
