Rev. John A. Travis, 77, of Hopeton Village, Chillicothe, Ohio passed 11:02 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Adena Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
John was born March 8, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Walter Albert Travis and May Ruth (Baker) Travis.
On January 28, 1960, John was united in marriage to Joyce (Hill) Travis who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a sister of Columbus, Ohio.
John was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Jael Gorman and uncle, Ralph Baker.
John was a Baptist minister and Insurance salesman.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Friday.
Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services located in Waverly, Ohio.
