War of 1812 Officer. A native of Lynne, New Hampshire he emigrated to Ohio and lived in Clovernook. He was the son of Christopher and Alice Cary, his father being a Revolutionary War Veteran. He died from consumption at his residence in 1866. He was 79 years old. He was initially buried in the Cary Family Grounds in North College Hill and was removed to Spring Grove Cemetery on December 10, 1867.
