Mrs. Ivra Monhollen, 56, of Route 1, Smithfield, died at the Baptist East Hospital, Louisville after an illness. She was a native of Estill County.
She is survived by her husband: Jay Monhollen, Route 1, Smithfield; two daughters: Mrs. David (Joyce) Jewell, Taylorsville and Mrs. William Morris (Lorena) Batts, Turners Station; three sons: Shelby Monhollen and Jerry Monhollen, both of Smithfield and Paul Monhollen, Lexington; four sisters: Mrs. Veral Irvin, LaGrange, IN, Mrs. Beulah Pollard, Angola, IN, Mrs. Ted (Augusta) Besser, Auburn, IN and Mrs. James (Zora) Corya, Indianapolis, IN; two brothers: Chester Embs, Winchester and Everett, Embs, Pendleton; two grandchildren: Anitra and Lynetta Batts, both of Turners Station; three step-grandchildren: Albert Monhollen, Norfolk, VA, Cecil Monhollen, Dry Ridge and Alvena Hamilton, Cincinnati.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14th from Prewitt's, New Castle. Rev. Marion Conder, Louisville, officiated. Interment was in the Smithfield Cemetery.
