Jeffrey Gordon Pierce, 53, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 due to injuries sustained in a bicycle-automobile accident near Inman, SC.

Born in Teaneck, NJ on May 1, 1964, son of Nelson Raymond and Margaret Anne Mackenzie Pierce of Burlington, NC; loving husband of Renee (Lark) Pierce.

A 5th grade teacher at Inman Intermediate School, he attended UNC-Wilmington for two years, graduated from Western Carolina University, and completed a Master's Degree in Education at Converse College. He was also an active member of First Baptist North Spartanburg.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his two precious sons, Alexander Joseph Pierce and Chandler Neal Pierce; brother, Steve Pierce of Burlington, NC; Mother and Father-in-Law, Joe and Shirley Lark of Inman, SC and his beloved dog 'Maddie'.

The family received friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2017 in the First Baptist North Spartanburg Sanctuary.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will follow at 3:00 PM with Dr Michael Hamlet & Rev. Michael Jones officiating.
