On the afternoon of July 8, 2007, Ilo "Sissy" Anne Harris-Williams was called to rest after a courageous struggle with cancer. Born on December 27, 1949, she was the second daughter of Bud and Edith Harris of Jackson, Ohio.

A country girl growing up, she enjoyed the simple life, like days when you could leave home with the doors unlocked. Ilo enjoyed making mud pies, sitting on the front porch at night, catching fireflies, and listening to the crickets while laying in bed.

Ilo didn't stay in the country; her next move was with the family to Chillicothe, Ohio. Walking to school and the corner store kept you in shape then. Just think: Ilo bought soda for ten cents and chips for five cents!

After elementary school in Chillicothe, another move took place to the "Big City" - Columbus, Ohio. Her love for children and caring for the elderly and disabled led her to take courses in the health care field and childhood education.

After being united in marriage, God blessed her with a beautiful little baby boy, Clarence. In of the greatest joys of her life was caring for and spoiling this little one. This "little one" has now grown to be a fine young man that made his mother proud.

Ilo touched many lives with her tenderness and caring ways. She enjoyed working in church and serving the Lord. Her giving spirit gave her joy. She loved giving watches to everyone she met. She lived her life thinking always of others and helping in whatever way she could. She will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends she made in her life journey.

Preceded in death by her parents James and Edith Harris and sister Martha Ruby. Survived by her loving, faithful and caring son Clarence M. Williams, Jr.; sisters, Gustava Lee, Debra Anderson and Joy Sterling; brother Buddy; uncle, John Harris; aunt, Thelma Harris; many nieces and nephews; close and dear friend, Cheryl Mack.
