Ann was born Feb. 26, 1922, to Walter William Wallace and Myra Jeane Coleman Strader Wallace in Justin.
She was a homemaker extraordinaire, a wonderful cook, seamstress, and loved the babies of Castleberry Baptist Church for many years as a nursery worker. The last 20 years she has been a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church where she had many treasured friends. God honored her with a long life of 95 years, and she is surely singing his praises in heaven now.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, William Howard Blackburn; parents; all of her siblings; and her only son, William Walter Childress.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Camille Blackburn Boyd and Melissa Kendrick and her husband, Ken; grandchildren, Scott Childress, Kristy Kendrick Byrne, Jeff Childress, Shannon Boyd Craycraft, Jennifer Kendrick and Weston Boyd; great-grandchildren; and her newest great-great-granddaughter.
