Died at age 24 on July 5, 2017 in Clayton, Missouri. Mitchell was born on June 9, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The youngest of three, he spent his childhood years in Ladue and graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 2011. Mitchell was blessed with a kind heart, a quick wit, and a unique sense of humor. He was curious, perceptive, and loved learning about other cultures and culinary traditions.
Mitchell earned a degree in finance from the University of Missouri in 2015. Upon graduation, Mitchell took a position as a senior credit analyst with the Central Bank of St. Louis.
Mitchell is survived by his parents, Barbara Burns Jones of St. Louis, Timothy Roy Jones of Oklahoma City, his sisters, Janelle Elise Jones and Lindsey Catherine Jones, both of Brooklyn, New York, his maternal grandfather, Allan Louis Burns of Dallas, Texas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love him dearly.
