"Anna Leamon, wife of Alfred Leamon passed away at her home Tuesday, March 12th following a week's illness of pneumonia, although she had been in failing health over a year. The deceased was born at Schoharie 64 years ago but had been a resident of Central Bridge for 36 years. She was a woman whose interests were devoted to her home and family yet she never resisted the call of a sick neighbor or child and when becoming unable to minister to the wants of others, was to her a source of deep regret. While her own cares were many she always found time to help lighten another's load of care and her smile and words of encouragement will be missed alike by family and friends. The many beautiful floral tributes were silent reminders of the love and esteem in which she was held. Funeral services were conducted Friday by her pastor, Rev. Swartz of Bethany Lutheran church. Beside her husband she is survived by six children, John of Schenectady, Ward of Charleston, Mrs. Katherine Flint of South Valley, Mrs. Gordon Dye of Schenectady, Mrs. Earl Richtmyer of Central Bridge, Fred residing at home and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Cleveland of Sloansville and nine grandchildren." ["The Cobleskill Index" (Cobleskill, NY), Mar. 28, 1929, Page 1]
