Clarence Murphy Williams, 81, of Livingston died peacefully on May 17, 2017. Born Dec. 5, 1935 in Polk County, to the late Ralph and Dora Sylestine Williams, he lived in Polk County all of his life. He was a tribal member of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation. He retired as a maintenance man. He was known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who all knew and loved him. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ora Williams; daughters, Elizabeth Williams and Elaine Williams; son, Quentin Williams; brothers, Edgar Williams and Merrill Williams; and sisters, Delma Williams, Loyce Williams and Marilyn Williams. He is survived by his loving family: brothers, Sherman Williams, Kenneth Williams and wife Millie, Roy Williams and wife Judy, and Dolen Williams and wife Mary, all of Livingston; granddaughter, Kelli Smith and husband Kyle of Lumberton; grandsons, Phillip Abbey, Noah Wilkerson and Chesson Williams, all of Livingston; great-grandchildren, Jamie and Logan Smith, both of Lumberton; adopted brother, Hawk of Orange; and numerous other family members and friends. A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 21, at the Indian Village Assembly of God Church, with Bro. David Busby officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Village Cemetery. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
