A baker of Drogheda. Married twice. First to Anne Clarendon (b. Bapt 24 Mar 1805 at St Peter's church). They had 5 known children. Anne herself died in 1849 aged 45 years. Hugh married secondly Elizabeth ‘Bess’ Knaggs in 1853 and they had a son George. Hugh died aged 83 years and was buried on 18 Jun 1883 at St Peter's Church, Drogheda.
